how do you get there? well, here are the options:
- fly to geneva
- fly to lyon
- fly to st Etienne
- fly to chambery
- take the snow train to bourg st maurice
- drive/sail from home
all 4 flights are short and pretty painless, there are a few further
options for you when you arrive at the destination airport. the snow train takes
a little longer but very straight forward with only a funicular, bus or taxi ride
up the mountain when you get to the other end and all of these are readily
available from the bourg st maurice platforms. here are the details:
1. from geneva airport

we wouldn't recommend the train option as it is a long winding journey that
will take around 5 hours and they are not very frequent. there is nothing wrong with the rail
system, this is just a poorly catered route and the coaches are far more convenient.

this simple option will take you right up to the resort. simply go to this website:

find the coach you need
and book it. tickets are also on sale at the airport information desk.
you can collect your coach from right outside the terminal building and
it will take you all the way to bourg st maurice, potentially with a couple of stops on the way
and then, depending on how many are travelling up to the resort, you will get a minibus
or taxi to take you the rest of the way, (all in the price of your ticket).

hiring a car is another relatively easy option. simply book your car from any number of
companies with online booking and collect it when you get to the airport. we recommend

do not leave booking the car until you get to the airport - there are companies with desks there but the availability
is very low and prices very high.
